Navigating what to do at the State Fair of Texas can be both exciting and overwhelming, especially when you're aiming to create unforgettable memories with your family. As regular attendees since childhood we wanted to share some of our State Fair experiences and tips throughout the upcoming weeks to help make your trip to the Fair worthwhile and special!

GO TEXAN GENERAL STORE

At the heart of the fair, the Go Texan Pavilion holds a special place for us. This is where our family's handcrafted bath & body products, along with men's beard, shave, and grooming essentials, originally found their retail home. Our journey began when our boys were toddlers (and we only had 2 at the time), and today, they are 17, 14, and 10. The Go Texan Pavilion is filled with all sorts of goodies for the whole family.  Besides carrying Sasha's Hand Poured Bath & Body and The Immaculate Beard men's grooming products, there are a lot of other amazing artisans and vendors offering a diverse range of Texas-made products.

From certified Texas-made foods and drinks to unique textiles and apparel, and home goods, the store showcases the state's rich heritage and agriculture. Whether you're looking for a sweet or savory snack, a refreshing beverage, or an awesome commemorative t shirt, the Go Texan Pavilion is your one-stop destination to experience the best of Texas craftsmanship! I could do another entire blog on my favorite Go Texan snacks and drinks, and I probably will!! 

Pro tip! Cold bottled water and sodas are sold inside the pavilion for a fraction of the concession stand prices!!! Did I mention free yogurt at the dairy trailer? And free snack samples all day every day?? The Go Texan Pavilion is a “do not miss it” opportunity at the Fair!

• HANS MUELLER's German cheesesteak sandwich on pretzel bread with Dijon mustard 
• An iconic turkey leg outside the Midway.
• The legendary Fletcher's corny dog.
• The irresistible Fried Oreo.

• Get an inside look at some of the newest and coolest automobiles at the Auto show (it's a good place to cool off from the heat as well!)
• The Midway - an absolute paradise for kids, brimming with rides, games, and prizes!
• And of course, the petting zoo!  It's always nice to make a new friend ❤️

OUR MISSION THIS YEAR

For the past 15 years we have been fortunate enough to enjoy the State Fair of Texas quite often.  As the Fair continues, we're on a mission to discover new flavors and share our authentic reviews. We have enjoyed it so much over the years, so we want to share some of our experiences throughout the fair, as well as  some tips/suggestions to help make this memorable for you and your family.
